About
The Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test (usually referred as CA CPT) is an entry or first level examination of Chartered Accountancy. This exam is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) as per provisions of Regulation 25 D (3) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
Courses under chartered accountancy combines theoretical learning and practical training. Apart from CA CPT, ICAI conducts:
. Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination – CA II Level
. Final Examination – CA Final Level
Eligibility
Students appearing for the CA CPT Exam need to meet following Criteria:
. Passed 12th (10+2) exam in Commerce stream or appearing for 12th final exam
. Already registered for CPT course with Board of Studies of ICAI
